How Bad Can Adult Acne Get?

How Bad Can Adult Acne Get?

Posted by Bio-First Team on

Like all chronic skin conditions, acne has degrees of seriousness. A wildly recognised grading system* defines the levels below:

  • Grade 1 (mild): Whiteheads and blackheads with a few papules and pustules.

  • Grade 2 (moderate): Multiple papules and pustules, mostly on the face.

  • Grade 3 (moderately severe): Numerous papules and pustules with occasionally inflamed nodules.

  • Grade 4 (severe): Numerous painful, inflamed pustules and nodules.

For all grades, follow these rules for both prevent & care:

  • Keep skin clean

  • Always remove make-up thoroughly

  • Use a cleansing toner that penetrates pores

  • Apply naturally antibacterial gel or cream

  • Avoid all clogging products on the face

  • Don't squeeze the pimples
