Squalane

Squalane

Posted by Bio-First Team on

One of nature’s great emollients, squalene comprises 13% of human skin sebum – squalane is the saturated version and can be sourced from sharks and selected vegetable oils. Humans produce it naturally but this slows dramatically with age, contributing to dry rough skin.

Being so biocompatible, squalane is rapidly and readily absorbed deep into the skin, restoring healthy suppleness and elasticity without leaving any oily residue. Regular use can also boost collagen production.

Bio-First uses a rich olive-based squalane to protect the human skin surface, especially if compromised or affected by chronic conditions such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis / eczema. This gorgeous emollient is non-clogging, odourless, and an absolute treat for skin in need of more than its own natural levels.
